Options to Calculate with Shopify

While Zamp provides an API for real-time calculations, Shopify has its own sales tax engine that we recommend using. We strongly encourage Shopify merchants to configure it accurately. Integrating Zamp with Shopify

Zamp’s integration process is designed for quick, smooth onboarding. Our Onboarding and Account managers guide merchants through setup and ensure transactions flow into the system. Three elements are required to connect:
  1. The Shopify Store URL
  2. An Admin API access token
  3. The API secret key
Zamp will provide guidance on necessary API scopes and permissions during token setup. Once connected, Zamp automatically backfills historical transactions to enable accurate nexus analysis. The service also:
  • Marks marketplace transactions appropriately (Amazon, TikTok Shop, etc.)
  • Maps products to Zamp’s tax codes

Filing Sales Tax for Shopify

After Shopify integration, Zamp’s software generates state summary reports. These reports inform merchants of their liability per state, which Zamp then uses for filing and remittance. Any time there is an upcoming filing, Zamp gives you a heads up with what amounts are on record. This gives you a chance to reconcile and verify before the filing team handles the rest.
